Day 12: Liam McClair | #HITSBC17

Hey guys!

When I started house in the sand, almost five years ago, I had no idea where this would lead me.
I didn't even know it could lead me anywhere.
The fact that a web blog would allow me to travel, still seems pretty surreal to me.

But every now and again I find myself on a plane.
Ideally it's taking me to Manchester which has quickly become one of my favourite places, mainly because of all the wonderful people I've met there.

Today's artist, Liam, was one of the first musicians I've blogged about and soon became a good friend of house in the sand! The internet is amazing!


What is #HITSBC17?
HITSBC17 stands for house in the sand's Birthday Countdown 2017.
Throughout the entire month of February, we are going to celebrate house in the sand's fifth birthday.
(Because why celebrate on one day, if you can celebrate for an entire month, right?)
With the support from some of the finest artists and bands around, each day in February will be filled with an exclusive performance just for us.

Who is performing today?
Liam McClair.
He is a singer/songwriter from Manchester, UK.
His sound can be classified as acoustic/folk with raw pop elements.
Most of Liam's recordings are guitar based and vocals focused. But you'll still find piano ballads and harmonica instrumentals paired with supportive percussions whilst listening to Liam's repertory.

With strong live performances Liam has convinced crowds all over the UK and even made it to Belgium, Holland and Germany to play his music.
 Music fans from all over the world are drawn to his sound. He has supported acts like Newton Faulkner and Echo & The Bunnymen.

What needs to be said about this performance?
It's so calm and comforting and I am 100% sure that you'll absolutely love listening to Liam's song.
It's perfect for those lovely Sunday afternoons when you're snuggled up on the couch, ready to find your next favourite musician.
